40 Year Partnership

This year is the 40th anniversary of the Roanoke Times Good Neighbors Fund. We have made some estimates of the impact the Roanoke Times has had on the community. Over the last 40 years, the Roanoke Times has provided homeless prevention for over 100,000 individuals by providing “just in time” funds to help families avoid eviction, utility cut off, pay crucial medical bills or get transportation to critical services. With over four decades of service, the total raised would be over $5,000,000.

The Good Neighbors Fund stories are currently running and we encourage you to subscribe and read these heartwarming stories of real people being impacted by your generosity. The partnership we have had with the Roanoke Times has been unparalleled and we are appreciative and excited about what we can do together in the coming years. But, we cannot do this without your support and generosity.

Our goal for the 2023-24 Campaign is $200,000. Despite the fact that many are having economic difficulties in a post-Covid society, we are confident that our RAMFAM donors will make the goal.

We encourage you to read the heartwarming stories about how your donations have been able to help those in need. A clippable coupon is available in the newspaper for those who like to write checks. Or, you can click on the below link to donate directly!
