Roanoke Area Ministries

Roanoke Area Ministries is an ecumenical, urban ministry that serves the Roanoke Valley by providing safe shelter for the homeless, a nutritious lunch, and emergency financial aid to those in need.

Our doors are open 365 days a year from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

We invite you to step inside, see what we do each day, and discover how you can help.

Help Wanted! Shelter Manager

RAM House is seeking a part time shelter manager to work 25 hours per week. The job requires compassion, but with firmness as to rules, the ability to multitask, attention to detail and surroundings, and physical fitness that allows free movement around the shelter as needed. The preferred candidate also needs to be flexible and have the ability to relate to and work with a variety of personalities.  If you possess these qualities and would like to be considered, please contact Debbie Denison at 540-345-8850.

Hot Noontime
Meal

One in five children go hungry part of every month. Hunger can affect health, quality of life, and leave a person unable to face daily challenges. We serve a nutritious lunch, every day, to anyone who has need.
